Dyson Energy Services appointed as Delivery Partner on External Wall Insulation scheme in Leigh & Platt Bridge, Wigan....with a contract value of more than £1.5 million

Wigan Council is working in partnership with Wates Living Space and Dyson Energy Services to deliver an External Wall Insulation Scheme in Leigh and Platt Bridge, Wigan.

This programme is designed to improve the appearance and energy efficiency of householder's homes, which could significantly reduce energy bills.

The scheme is being funded with the Green Deal Communities Fund and additional funding options are available to residents.

In order to maintain the Victorian character of the terraces, a brick effect render finish manufactured by Wetherby, a local supply chain partner, will be applied to the front and gable walls with a plain render finish to the rear walls.

Operations Manager Michael Morrall says "We are delighted to be the installing partner in the Leigh and Platt Bridge energy efficiency scheme.  Residents will not only benefit from reduced energy bills but the appearance of their home will be significantly improved.  We urge residents to take advantage of this opportunity whilst limited funding is available"
