Telford and Wrekin resident benefits from funding towards External Wall Insulation and a Boiler Replacement through the Green Deal Communities scheme

Telford and Wrekin Council has secured funding to heavily subsidise the cost of energy efficiency improvements in the home, through the Green Deal Communities scheme.  These measures include: external wall insulation, boiler replacements, cavity wall and loft insulation. Dyson Energy Services are delighted to have been appointed to deliver this scheme across the borough.

The funding is available to all owner-occupiers and tenants living in the Telford and Wrekin Borough.  As this is a time limited offer, we encourage residents to take advantage of the funding whilst it is available and benefit from significant savings on energy bills this winter.

A local resident, Mrs Smith, is delighted to have benefited from the scheme.  Mrs Smith had external wall insulation and an A rated boiler installed at her home.  This is what Mrs Smith had to say about the scheme:

"I heard about the scheme through a friend who had a boiler installed.  My friend recommended Dyson Energy Services to me and told me how quick the process was and the service was excellent.  I could only afford the heating on for two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening through the winter period.  I found that black mould was growing inside and on my books because of insufficient heating"

Mrs Smith went on to say "I have now had external wall insulation and a new boiler installed.  Now with the new boiler and insulation, after an hour I either have to turn the heating down or off because the bungalow has never been so warm so quickly"

"The final product in terms of the external wall insulation is stunning.  I am not only saving money on my energy bills, but through not having to paint the outside of the property again.  For me, the fact that the external wall insulation adds value to my bungalow is great, but for me, quality of life and feeling warm and comfortable in my home is even more beneficial"

Mrs Smith promotes the scheme to friends and neighbours and says, "I encourage people to access the funding whilst it is available.  For people like myself, who is on a limited income, the scheme enables me to benefit from energy efficiency measures which would usually be unaffordable.  All workmen and staff have been very amenable and friendly.  I would highly recommend Dyson Energy Services"

Please be aware that the scheme has now closed to new applications.
