James has over 18 years’ experience in Health and Safety within the Construction industry.  Since 2009, he has worked within the heating and energy efficiency / renewable energy sector.  Furthermore, he holds a NEBOSH General Certificate and Level 6 Diploma and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH).  With a passion for continuous personal development, James is currently studying MSC in Occupational Safety and Health.

During his career, James has overseen the health and safety arrangements for long term contracts for both domestic private and social housing clients, through to installations and maintenance within large commercial premises.

In his current role at Dyson Energy Services as Head of Health and Safety, James is responsible for and oversees all areas of health and safety and maintains our key accreditations, including CHAS, Achilles UVDB, Constructionline, ISO:9001, ISO:14001 and many more.

James develops all company policy; risk assessments and method statements and carries out regular site inspections to ensure the highest standards in health and safety are always maintained.

James believes that effective communication both empowers people to make a competent judgement on a situation and prevents incidents from ultimately occurring. Therefore, James arranges all company Health & Safety related training including regular toolbox talks, issues regular communications to staff and management about changes in legislation and good practice.
