Dyson Energy Services are delighted to have secured a contract through EN Procure, to deliver an insulation upgrade programme of works for client Wakefield District Housing (WDH).

WDH is one of the UK’s largest social housing providers, with over 32,000 homes across the Wakefield District and wider operating area across the north of England.

This three-year contract with client WDH, funded through their capital investment programme, will help lower energy bills for residents whilst improving the energy efficiency of their homes.

Helping to improve the energy efficiency of homes

This three-year insulation upgrade programme, will be delivered and installed by our own experienced locally employed Installers, operating in close reach from our head office in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.

We are proud to be working with WDH as their delivery partner of choice, to ensure residents most in need of the energy efficiency measures, benefit from improved living standards, healthier warmer homes to live in, and reduced energy bills. This is particularly vital work, as energy prices are on the rise.

Moreover, the scale of this project, demonstrates WDH’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions, playing their part in helping to achieve local government targets and the UK’s vision of net zero for future generations.

Scope of works

We have been allocated circa 3,800 properties with a view to complete retrofit assessments and upgrade insulation where required, to the latest PAS 2035 standards as requested by the client. Insulation measures will include internal wall insulation, cavity wall insulation and loft insulation.

Whilst upgrading the insulation, we will be assessing each property’s additional ventilation requirements. Insulation and ventilation go hand in hand with each other under PAS 2035 standards and form a wider whole house approach to energy saving measures.
